3. there are 3 Bank of America buildings in Miami, and the color of the building at nighttime changes constantly! Last night, it was purple. Tomorrow night, who knows…
This is the view from Eric’s balcony of Biscayne Bay and the Miami River. Pretty good for not having a tripod!
4. There are Christmas lights in Miami! Especially around Mary Brickell Village, but I didn’t get pictures. These were outside a shopping mall, that I took while eating dinner outside Lime, a Miami restaurant chain.
5. There are grocery stores in downtown Miami! Eric’s roommate, my new friend Sam, took me to Publix, which is the chain of grocery stores around here. It’s just like a Safeway, only with way more selection.
There were all sorts of foods I had never heard of, or seen in a grocery store before, such as these corn cakes in the refrigerator section.
6. Floridians loooove hot sauce. Eric took me to Lime for lunch, then I went back to a different location with Sam so she could pick up her dinner. Their guacamole is to die for! They also had a humungous rack of hot sauces that people would take to their individual tables and pour over their food. Eric used about half a bottle of the garlic habanero one. I steered clear of them those. Everyone knows how much of a baby I am about spicy food.

Wow Katie, you are really doing it! I am so proud :) You make me so excited to get out there and leave behind the Pullman I love so much. There is so much of the world to see outside of the NW even if it is scary at first. I can’t wait to keep looking in on your adventures.
