Yesterday I spent all day working on job applications, writing cover letters, researching possible organizations I am interested in, the whole 9 yards. (My current job is only a year-long position, and it ends in four months….yikes! Time for job-searching anxiety to kick into high gear…) Anyway, my eyes were sore from staring at my computer screen all day and I finally got up to stretch and get a snack before dinner (that’s just how I roll).
I went outside to water my plants and noticed that the sun that had been shining all day was turning into a beautiful golden-pink color. I have to say, although there are many aspects of city living I am not so keen on, I do love the beautiful white Miami skyline! Most of the buildings downtown are recent, and are built in shades of whites and blues and turquoises, so the blue sky and the ocean and the sunlight just make the city look even prettier!
(Minus the god-awful, ugly Hilton building which I curse every time I sit on my balcony for ruining my view.)
Not to mention the view of the Venetian Causeway and the bay! The sky over the ocean was already turning a light purple…
I ate my goldfish crackers, chugged a cup of coffee, and hopped in the shower. After I got out, dressed, and dried my hair, about an hour later, this is what the sky looked like:
How gorgeous is that?
I could never get tired of looking at this.
And the colors! By the way, these photographs haven’t been manipulated in any way other than to remove noise from the images. All those colors are naturally occurring, baby.
I just think the colors are so beautiful.
I think those clouds over the water look kind of like the cotton-candy version of the Northern Lights, don’t you?
